Rules For Lessons:
*Lessons are scheduled for 1/2 hour and hour time periods. Please arrive early enough to catch, groom
and tack your horse prior to the start of your lesson. If you are a beginner, ground work will be apart of
your lessons until you are able to perform these tasks alone.
*Each rider is expected to put tack back in the tack room when finished with lesson and clean up the
place in the aisle in which the horse was groomed if necessary.
*Students must wear long pants (jeans or riding breeches are best),& low healed boot. Please pull back
long hair so it is not in your way.
*Chewing gum is not allowed while riding in a lesson.
*If you are more than 20 minutes late for a lesson without contacting the instructor the lesson will be
cancelled without refund.
*Lesson cancellation is expected at least 24 hours in advanced.
*Rain Policy - We will teach when it is raining however not when it is thundering/lighting, weather in
Ky varies greatly from one county to the next. If it is nasty out please call in advance to find out what
the weather is like at the farm.
*Instructor may cancel lessons but will be happy to reschedule for another time that is available. If a
suitable make-up time is not available and a lesson package has been purchased a discount will be
placed on the next bill for the missed lesson.
*For safety reasons parents are asked to REFRAIN from giving their child instructions once your child is
with their riding instructor in the barn AND /OR in the ring. Parents should never shout-out
instructions to their child while he/she is riding in a lesson or working with the horses around the barn.
Your child needs to focus on only ONE teacher.
